Best Family Day Celebration Ever

Blessed Hope celebrated family day on February 14, 2015, 7-12PM at Mt. Pleasant Community Centre, 100 Commuter Dr, Brampton, ON and it was a very cold night but it was a lovely night full of surprises. It was also a party meant to welcome our new church pastor, Pastor Ruel Malabrigo, and his family but Pastor Ruel and wife Millet have to leave early to pick up their daughters from Barrie, ON. But nevertheless the celebration was more than a success.
The whole Blessed Hope gang was there including some invited friends and there were lots of food to enjoy. Some brethren tried to sing out their stress to cheer up everybody and everybody loves to sing from the young ones to the young once and it was a night of music.
The husbands surprised their wives with a beautifully arranged roses courtesy of Carlo and Janet Sigua. The roses were a fund drive for the church building fund. The husbands continued to surprise their wives with a serenade and they sang a Jose Mari Chan love song entitled "Deep In My Heart".
The unexpected surprise of the night was the reconciliation of friends. The surprise was spontaneous as it was preceded by the involved friends singing "Love Hurts" and it was followed by a friend offering a flower of peace and reconciliation to the other friend and then the great wall of animosity collapsed and everybody was so happy that some cried out their happiness and some shouted their joy and some simply prayed their thanks that everybody is truly happy. Our Pastor and Elders felt so relieved because they were just about to start the process of peace talk to these friends but it was already solved. To God be the glory. I could say it's the best family day celebration ever.
New Church Pastor

February 7, 2015 is not just another blessed sabbath day for Blessed Hope SDA Church and Hamilton Filipino-Canadian SDA Church because it's the installation celebration of Pastor Ruel Malabrigo as the new church pastor for both churches at Huttonville United Church, 2051 Embleton Rd, Brampton, ON. Pastor Edwin Martin, Pathfinder Ministry Director of Ontario Conference of SDA, officiated the installation of Pastor Malabrigo and he remarked that this day is the start of another exciting ministry of Pastor Malabrigo. Pastor Malabrigo is happily joined by his lovely wife Millet and three beautiful daughters, Love, Hope and Hannah on this joyful occassion. Pastor Malabrigo challenged Blessed Hope SDA Church and Hamilton Filipino-Canadian SDA Church with the question "What Have You Committed To Jesus?" in his installation message.
Pastor Malabrigo transferred from Elliot Lake SDA Church where he previously served as church pastor. He pastored there for a year (January 2014 to January 2015) and this was his first church assignment in Canada or Ontario Conference for that matter. Pastor Malabrigo used to be pastor for five years (1993 to 1998) in the South Central Luzon Conference of SDA, Philippines before coming to Canada in 2006.
